xTuple
xTuple ERP, an award wining suite, is a full-featured, fully-integrated accounting, ERP, and CRM system. Built with the open source PostgreSQL database, and the open source Qt framework for C++, it provides the ultimate in power and flexibility for a range of businesses and industries.
xTuple runs equally on Windows, Linux, and Mac – and is fully internationalized (multi-currency, support for multiple tax structures, and multilingual translation packs maintained by the global community).
There are three editions of the software, PostBooks, Standard Edition and Manufacturing Edition.
- PostBooks Edition is the entry-level offering, it includes full financials; robust CRM; sales and purchasing; financial and ad-hoc reporting; inventory, manufacturing and distribution. PostBooks Edition is licensed under CPAL, the OSI-certified Common Public Attribution License.
- Standard Edition adds advanced inventory control, warehousing, and other features to the core package. It’s a great option for distributors/wholesalers, retailers and light manufacturers.
- Manufacturing Edition, an award-winning ERP suite, is recommended for manufacturing companies in both discrete and batch process production; make to order, make to stock, or mixed-mode; even job shops and engineer-to-order.

All three editions use the same client software–only the database is different. All application business logic resides in the database, and all three editions are based on the same core code. That means upgrading from PostBooks to Standard or Manufacturing Edition is as simple as running a two-minute script on your database.
